T-box Brain Protein 1 (TBR1, T-box Brain 1, T-brain-1)

Tbr1 gene is a member of a conserved family of genes that share a common DNA-binding domain, the T-box. T-box genes encode transcription factors involved in the regulation of developmental processes. Tbr1, a putative transcription factor known to be expressed in post-mitotic neurons, has been found highly expressed in glutamatergic early-born cortical neurons. A similar protein has been disrupted in mice and shown to be critical for early cortical development, and causes loss of projection neurons in the olfactory bulbs and olfactory cortex. The C-terminal region of the Tbr1 derived protein was found to be necessary and sufficient for association with the guanylate kinase domain of calcium/calmodulin-dependent serine protein kinase.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 0.025ug/ml detected TBR1 in 10ug of human fetal brain tissue lysate. Human fetal brain tissue lysate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to PVDF membranes and probed with T1848-23. Proteins were visualized using a IgY (HRP) Rabbit x Ch* and a chemiluminescence detection system.\nImmunohistochemistry: 1:100 detected TRB1 in mouse frontal cortex tissue.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\n*Recommended Secondary Antibodies: \nI1906: IgY, Chicken Pab Rb x Ch\nI1906-10: IgY, Chicken (HRP) Rb x Ch\nI1906-12: IgY, Chicken (FITC) Rb x Ch\nI1906-14: IgY, Chicken (AP) Rb x Ch\n\nPositive Control: \nHuman fetal brain tissue lysate\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
