TLR9 (Toll Like Receptor 9, CD289)

TLR9 is a member of the Toll-like receptor (TLR) family that plays a fundamental role in pathogen recognition and activation of innate immunity. TLRs are highly conserved from Drosophila to humans and share structural and functional similarities. They recognize pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) that are expressed on infectious agents, and mediate the production of cytokines necessary for the development of effective immunity. The various TLRs exhibit different patterns of expression. TLR9 gene is preferentially expressed in immune cell rich tissues, such as spleen, lymph node, bone marrow and peripheral blood leukocytes.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Western Blot, Flow Cytometry, Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested. \n\nRecommended Dilution:\nFlow Cytometry (intracellular): 0.1-2ug/ml; 10e6 cells\nImmunohistochemistry (frozen): 10-20ug/ml\nImmunohistochemistry: paraffin \nWestern Blot: 1-5ug/ml\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nRecommended Positive Control:\nWhole cell lysate from human peripheral blood monocyte cells or Daudi cells.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
