Ena/VASP proteins are actin-associated proteins involved in a range of processes dependent on cytoskeleton remodeling and cell polarity such as axon guidance and lamellipodial and filopodial dynamics in migrating cells. Ena/VASP-like protein enhances actin nucleation ad polymerisation. It is required to transform actin polymerisation into active movement for the propulsive force of Listeria monocytogenes. It exists as a homotetramerwhich localises to the cytoplasm, cytoskeleton and cell projection. There are two name isoforms produced by alternative splicing.
Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilutions:
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
