4-1BB receptor (4-1BBR), also known as CD137, is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein and member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily, predominantly expressed by activated T cells, which acts as a receptor for 4-1BB ligand (4-1BBL). Interaction between CD137 and 4-1BBL, acts as a co-stimulatory signal for T cell activation and expansion, and is involved in the generation of cytotoxic T cells (Tc) and in the process of antigen presentation. CD137 also binds to the adaptor proteins TRAF1, 2 and 3 to act as a signal transducer of NF-kappaB activation.\n\nSource:\nE.coli\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Functional Assays. About 90% of inhibition was seen using a concentration of 1microg for both CD137 and 4-1BBL.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer or ddH2O. Aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
