The calcium sensing receptor (CaSR) has been shown to play a major role in regulating parathyroid hormone secretion and subsequently influencing the calcium concentration of extracellular fluids. Several disorders of calcium homeostasis have been linked to mutations in the CaSR. These include familial hypocalciuric hypercalcemia (FHH), neonatal severe hyperparathyroidism (NSHPT), and autosomal dominant hypocalemia (ADHypo). Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml for 2h at RT Immunohistochemistry: 1:50 for 10min at RT Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Brain, SKNEP-1 cells Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
