CD69 (Activation Inducer Molecule, AIM, BLAC/P26, CLEC2C, EA1, Early Activation Antigen CD69, Early T cell Activation Antigen p60, GP32/28, Leu23, MLR-3) (FITC)

CD69, also known as very early activation (VEA) antigen, is a disulfide-linked transmembrane homodimer whose differentially glycosylated subunits range from 35-39 kD. It is a C-type lectin, most closely related to the NKR-P1 and Ly-49 NK cell-activation molecules.3 CD69 is widely expressed on hematopoietic cells, including lymphocytes, neutrophils and eosinophils. Although not detectable on resting lymphocytes, its expression is rapidly (within 2 hours) upregulated upon activation of T, B and NK cells, and neutrophils. Constitutive expression of CD69 on subsets of thymocytes suggests that it may be involved in regulation of developmental events in addition to its role in activation of a variety of hematopoietic cells. This antibody augments PMA-induced T-cell proliferation, and induces redirected lysis of Fc receptor-bearing target cells by NK cells.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunoprecipitation and \nIn vitro T cell and NK-cell activation. Other applications have not been tested. \n\nRecommended Dilutions:\nFlow Cytometry: (same/less than)1ug/10e6 cells\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. FITC conjugates are sensitive to light.
