CLEC5A (C-type Lectin Domain Family 5 Member A, C-type Lectin Superfamily Member 5, Myeloid DAP12-associating Lectin 1, MDL-1, CLECSF5, MDL1) (APC)

CLEC5A is a type II membrane protein belonging to the C-type lectin superfamily. CLEC5A is expressed on monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells, and NK cells and contributes to cellular activation through its association with DAP12.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilutions:\nFlow Cytometry: 10ul labels up to 1x10e6 cells.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPositive Control\nWhole blood monocytes.\n\nFlow Cytometry Protocol:\n1. Cells may be Fc-blocked with 1ug of human IgG/10e5 cells for 15 minutes at RT. Do not wash excess blocking IgG from this reaction.\n2. After blocking, add 10ul of C5839-75 to up to 1x10e6 cells and incubate for 30 minutes at RT.\n3. Remove unbound antibody by washing the cells twice in Flow Cytometry Staining Buffer (F4568-10). Note that whole blood requires a RBC lysis step at this point using Flow Cytometry Human Lyse Buffer.\n4. Resuspend the cells in Flow Cytometry Staining Buffer for final flow cytometric analysis. As a control for this analysis, cells in a separate tube should be treated with APC-labeled mouse IgG2B antibody. \n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4 degrees C Stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. \nFreezing APC conjugates will result in a substantial loss of activity. APC is light sensitive.
