LAIR-1 (Leukocyte-associated Ig-like Receptor-1)

Human leukocyte-associated Ig-like receptor-1 (LAIR-1) is a 40kD cell surface molecule that functions as an inhibitory receptor on natural killer cells, monocytes and T cells. LAIR-1 is also expressed by other hematopoeitic cells including B cells, but is not expressed by non-hematopoietic, platelets or erythrocytes.
