NTAL (Non-T Cell Activation Linker, HSPC046, Linker for Activation of B cells, LAB, Lat2, Membrane Associated Adapter Molecule, Williams Beuren Syndrome Chromosome Region 5, WBSCR5, WSCR5, WBSCR15)

Alternatively termed as linker for activation of B cells (LAB), NTAL is expressed in plasma membrane lipid rafts of B cells, mast cells, monocytes and NK cells. The engagement and activation of antigen receptors on B and T lymphocytes initiates signal transducing pathways that are vital for the successful initiation of an adaptive immune response. It is following the cross-linking of the B cell receptor (BCR) or high-affinity FE receptors of myeloid cells, that the tyrosine phosphorylation of NTAL occurs, enabling the formation of complexes between NTAL and further signaling molecules Grb2, Gab1, Sos1 and c-Cbl. Recent studies into the functions of NTAL, have indicated that this molecule may also act as a negative regulator of mast cell Fc Epsilon RI-mediated signalling.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Western Blot, Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry (Frozen). Other applications not tested. \n\nRecommended Dilution: \nWestern Blot: Non-reducing, detects a band of approximately 30kD in Ramos cell lysates.\nOptimal dilution determined by the researcher. \n\nRecommended Secondary Reagents: \nF(ab')2 rabbit anti mouse IgG:HRP \n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
