A heparin-neutralizing protein which is contained in platelet storage granules. Platelet Factor 4 is released during aggregation, but its actual role in normal or abnormal hemostasis is unknown. Source: Platelet Factor 4, from human plasma. Molecular Weight: ~27.1kD Storage and Stability: Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
