A potent and selective in vitro mTOR inhibitor that targets the ATP domain of mTOR (IC?? = 8 nM). Inhibits other PI 3-Kinases only at much higher concentrations. Recently it has been shown that PP242 is a more effective mTORC1 inhibitor than Rapamycin. Solubility: DMSO (>50 mg/ml) Molecular Weight: ~308.34 Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with DMSO. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
