TAG 72 (CA 72-4, Tumor-associated Glycoprotein 72) (BSA & Azide Free) (HRP)

Anti-TAG-72 defines the mucin-carried carbohydrate epitope Gal beta(1-3) [NeuAc alpha(2-6)]GalNAc.3 and is shown to be distinct from Clone# 0.N.561 by reciprocal competition radioimmunoassays, having a higher Ka. TAG-72 is expressed in colon, breast, pancreatic, ovarian, lung and gastric cancers. Weak or no reactivity has been observed with most cell types of normal adult tissue excepting the secretory endometrium. About 60% of carcinoma patients express TAG-72 in their sera. \n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Affinity Purification, Radioimaging, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry (formalin/paraffin). Other applications have not been tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution: \nWestern Blot: 1ug/ml for 2 hours at room temperature.\nImmunohistochemistry: 0.2-0.4ug/ml for 30 minutes at room temperature. Staining of formalin fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min.\n\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPositive Control: \nLs174T cells. Colon cancer.\n\nCellular Localization: \nCell surface and cytoplasmic\n\nMolecular Weight of Antigen:\n> 1,000kD\n\nMolar ratio of label: ~1:1\n\nStorage and Stability: \nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
