Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: A 1:500-1:2000 dilution of this lot detected Akt3/PKBg in HEK293 cell lysates.\nImmunoprecipitation: 5ul immunoprecipitated active Akt3/PKBg from 15nM IGF-I stimulated HEK293 cell lysates. The kinase activity of immunoprecipitated Akt3/PKBg was determined using Akt/SGK Specific Substrate Peptide Active kinase was detected by comparing the incorporation of [32P] into Akt/SGK Substrate Peptide as catalyzed by immunoprecipitates from IGF-I stimulated (15nM) HEK293 cell lysates (1mg).\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nRecommended Secondary Antibodies:\nI1904-39: IgG, X-Adsorbed (HRP) Pab Gt xRb\nI1904-40A: IgG, H&L, X-Adsorbed (HRP) Pab Gt xRb\nI1904-46Q: IgG, H&L (HRP) Pab Gt xRb\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Additional Info

Recognizes human Akt3/PKBg, Mr 60kD. An additional protein was observed, Mr 50kD. Detection of both bands is inhibited by preincubation with the immunizing peptide. Species sequence homology: mouse and rat.
