Cat no: C2100

CCR8 (TER1, CKR-L1, ChemR1, Chemokine Receptor 8, CC-CKR-8)

CCR8 is one of the chemokine receptors that are required as coreceptors for HIV infection. The genes encoding human and murine CCR8 were cloned and designated TER1, CKR-L1, and ChemR1 (1-4). The encoded seven transmembrane protein was identified as the receptor for human CC chemokine I-309 and renamed CCR8. Recently, CCR8 was found to serve as a coreceptor for diverse T-cell tropic, dual-tropic and macrophage-tropic HIV-1 strains (5). CCR8 mediates CC chemokine I-309 induced monocyte chemoattraction and HIV-1 envelope fusion and virus infection, which can be prevented by the CCR8 ligand I-309. CCR8 is expressed in spleen, thymus and T lymphoblastic cell lines. \n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution: \nWestern Blot: 1:500-1:1,000\n\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPositive Control:\nHuman spleen tissue lysate\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20 degrees C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
