CD16 (Fc gamma RIII alpha, NK cells)

Cat no: C2267-56

CD16 (Fc gamma RIII alpha, NK cells)

CD16 (also known as low affinity Fc gamma receptor III for IgG (FcgRIII) or Leu11) exists as a polypeptide-anchored form (FcgRIIIA or CD16A) on human natural killer (NK) cells and monocytes/macrophages and as a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored form (FcgRIIIB or CD16B) on neutrophils. CD16B is polymorphic and the two alleles are termed NA1 and NA2. CD16 plays a role in signal transduction, NK cell activation and antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. \n\nRecommended Dilutions: \nImmunohistochemistry (Formalin/paraffin): 1:10-1:20; Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10-20 minutes, followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPositive Control:\nTonsil\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
