Cytokeratin 7

Cytokeratin 7 was found to occur in the columnar and glandular epithelium of the lung, cervix, breast, bile ducts, larger collecting ducts of the kidney and in mesothelium, but is absent from gastrointestinal epithelium, hepatocytes and myoepithelium. Several types of adenocarcinomas of the gastrointestinal tract and of the urinary tract are negative, while adenocarcinomas of the mammary gland, ovary and lung are positive.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Immunoblot and Immunohistochemistry (frozen tissue and cell suspensions).\n\nRecommended Dilution: \nImmunohistochemistry: 1:5-1:10\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Store at -20 degrees C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
