Cytomegalovirus (CMV) is an opportunistic pathogen that infects lung, kidney, gut and other organs in immunologically immature individuals or in immunosuppressed patients. An active CMV infection time course in immunosuppressed individuals is characterized by a period of several weeks of pp65 antigenemia that corre- lates with viral replication, before the onset of clinical symptoms. This pool of 2 antibodies will detect the pp65 antigen in tissues and cytospins.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nImmunofluorescence: 1:10-1:20\nWestern Blot: 1:1000\nImmunohistochemistry: 1:200 for 1 hr. at RT\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPositive Control: \nWestern Blot: CMV-infected cells.\nImmunohistochemistry: Cytomegalovirus-infected lung (nuclear and cytoplasmic staining pattern)\n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
