Dectin-1 is predominantly expressed by cells of the monocyte/macrophage and neutrophil lineages, but also at lower levels by dendritic cells and a subpopulation of T cells.\nAs a major leukocyte receptor for beta-glucan this molecule may have a key role in the immunomodulatory effects of beta-glucans and in the host response to fungal pathogens.\nRecent work has shown that Dectin-1 may stimulate reactive oxygen production in macropahges via the protein tyrosine kinase known as Syk.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nFlow Cytometry: Neat-1;10; 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nHybridoma: \nRat Y3 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Fisher Rat.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. FITC conjugates are sensitive to light.
