The ETL protein receptor has been characterized as an Orphan-B GPCR with an unknown ligand. ETL has a large extracellular domain with epidermal growth factor (EGF)-like repeats, a seven-transmembrane domain, and a short cytoplasmic tail. ETL expression is developmentally regulated in heart. ETL protein receptor expression has been documented in heart, lung, and vessel. ESTs have been isolated from ear, embryo, heart, liver/spleen, lung, pineal gland, placenta, prostate, skeletal muscle, testis, and vessel libraries. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 19ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Human Heart Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
