FBP2 (MGC142192, Fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase isozyme 2, D-fructose-1,6-bisphosphate 1-phosphohydrolase 2)

FBP2, also known as Fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase isozyme 2, belongs to the FBPase class 1 family (1). It is a gluconeogenesis regulatory enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of fructose 1,6-bisphosphate to fructose 6-phosphate and inorganic phosphate (2). FBP2 is subject to complex allosteric regulation. The enzyme can assume an active R-state, or an inactive T-state. Intermediate conformations may exist. AMP acts as allosteric inhibitor. Fructose-2,6-biphosphate acts as competitive inhibitor (1).\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 1:1000-10,000\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months.
