Fibronectin (FITC)

Fibronectin is a protein which can bind cell surfaces and various compounds including collagen, fibrin, heparin, DNA, and actin. Fibronectin is present in the body in two forms; plasma \nfibronectin (soluble dimeric form) is secreted by hepatocytes, while cellular fibronectin (dimeric or cross-linked multimeric forms), made by fibroblasts, epithelial and other cell types, is deposited as fibrils in the extracellular matrix. Fibronectin is involved in cell adhesion and migration processes including embryogenesis, wound healing, blood coagulation, host defense, and metastasis. Interaction with Tenascin-R mediates inhibition of cell adhesion and neurite outgrowth. \n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in ELISA and Immunofluorescence. Other applications have not been tested. \n\nRecommended Dilutions:\nELISA: 1:100-1:1000\nImmunofluorescence: 1:10-1:40\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. \n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. FITC conjugates are sensitive to light.
