Fibulin 1 (Basement Membrane Protein 90, BM90)

The fibulins are a family of secreted glycoproteins that are components of elastic matrix fibers and basement membranes. Fibulin-1 is an extracellular matrix protein, which can adhere to endothelial cells and regulate their motility and proliferation. Fibulin-1 is overexpressed in estrogen receptor (ER)-positive ovarian carcinomas and several studies suggest a possible role for fibulin-1 as a tumor suppressor. Xie et al. described that fibulin-1 inhibits tumor growth in HT1080 cell lines by suppressing tumor angiogenesis and inducing apoptosis.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nImmunohistochemistry: frozen and paraffin sections\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
