Mycoplasma pneumonia, Human, IgG, BioAssay(TM) ELISA Kit

Cat no: M9750-16

Mycoplasma pneumonia, Human, IgG, BioAssay(TM) ELISA Kit

The United States Biological Mycoplasma pneumonia, Human, IgG, BioAssay(TM) ELISA Kit is intended for the semi-quantitative or qualitative determination of IgG antibodies in sample serum to Mycoplasma pneumoniae for the determination of immunological experience. The United States Biological Mycoplasma pneumonia, Human, IgG, BioAssay(TM) ELISA Kit may be used to evaluate paired serum for the presence of seroconversions and a significant increase in specific IgG.\n\nMycoplasma pneumoniae is among the smallest of free-living organisms. In samples, it is usually found in the throat and lungs and is susceptible to antimicrobial agents that inhibit protein synthesis. The spread of mycoplasmal infections depends on close and prolonged contact between people, as it is transmitted by means of droplet nuclei from the respiratory tract.\n\nMycoplasmal infection may be asymptomatic, or may produce upper espiratory tract disease, or atypical pneumonia. The pneumonia is difficult to differentiate from viral diseases by clinical means alone. Laboratory tests such as isolation, Complement Fixation serology and ELISA serology are helpful as aids in the differentiation of Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection. \n\nKit Components:\n1. Microtiter Plate (Mycoplasma, FH strain, grown in PPLO broth, washed, detergent treated, and sonicated): 1x96 wells\n2. Serum Diluent: 1X30ml \n3. Cutoff Calibrator: 1X400ul \n4.
