NOTCH 1 (Neurogenic Locus Notch Homolog Protein 1, Motch A, mT14, p300, Motch, Notch1)

Notch1, a single transmembrane receptor which is expressed in a range of cells including hematopoietic cells in mouse fetal liver, adult thymus and bone marrow. Notch1 plays a role in embryonic development and tissue homeostasis in the adult. Recent work has suggested a further role for this receptor in the regulation of lymphopoieisis and myelopoiesis. Following ligand binding, Notch1 is cleaved in the transmembrane domain, releasing the Notch intracellular domain (NICD) to translocate to the nucleus, where it plays a role in the modulation of gene expression.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nFlow Cytometry: Neat; 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nHybridoma: \nSp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. \n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at 4 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer or dH2O. Aliquot and store at 4 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Freezing R-Phycoerythrin (PE) conjugates will result in a substantial loss of activity. PE conjugates are sensitive to light.
