SCART1 belongs to the scavenger receptor superfamily group B together with CD5, CD6, and CD163. It is expressed in the thymus, the trachea and to a lower extent in the spleen and lung. SCART1 (mouse) comprises 8 Scavenger Receptor Cysteine-Rich (SRCR) domains of 98-106 amino acids each, a transmembrane region, and an intracellular domain. SCART1 is a novel developmentally regulated cell surface receptor that distinguishes gammadeltaT cells from conventional alphaT cells.
Sequence:
Mouse SCART1 (aa 20-333) (including the three N-terminal scavenger receptor cysteine-rich (SRCR) domains) is fused at the C-terminus to the Fc portion of human IgG1.
