STAM2 (signal transducing adapter molecule 2), a ubiquitously expressed protein and member of the STAM family, involved in cytokine-mediated signal transduction, downstream of JAK kinases. STAM2 is involved in mediating the endocytic sorting of ubiquitinated membrane proteins on early endosomes, binding directly with ubiquitin, and co-localizing with Hrs (hepatocyte growth factor-regulated tyrosine kinase substrate) and Eps15 (epidermal growth factor receptor substrate 15), in clathrin-containing endosomal microdomains.
Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
ELISA: 1:8000
Western Blot: 1-3ug/ml, observed in human spleen lysates on ~70kD bands
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
