LKB1 is a serine-threonine protein kinase and member of the calcium calmodulin family. LKB1 acts as a tumor suppressor and plays an important role in the regulation of many cellular processes. It is expressed in all tissues including pancreatic, liver, testicular, cardiac, and skeletal muscle tissue. Mutations in LKB1 result from unregulated cell growth and tumor formation that are associated with Peutz-Jehgers syndrome. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Dot Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Dot Blot: 1ug/ml detects STK11 in modified and non-modified peptides of phosphorylated and non-phosphorylated STK11 protein. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Recommended Secondary Antibodies: I1904-46E: IgG, H&L (HRP) DkxRb I1904-46K: IgG, H&L X-Absorbed (HRP) DkxRb Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
