Vimentin is an intermediate filament protein found in cells of mesenchymal origin such as endothelial cells, fibroblasts, smooth muscle cells and lymphoid cells. This antibody will help detect vimentin and cells of mes- enchymal origin in normal and uncharacterized tissues. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:25-1:50 Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:100 for 1 hr. at RT Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Western Blot: Skin Immunohistochemistry: Tonsil, lymph node. Cytoplasmic staining pattern. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
